Aviad Sasi

Growing up on the beach of Ocean City, I started surfing when I was 6 years old and quickly developed a natural fondness to the ocean. It was, and still is a form of yoga for me, physically and spiritually. However, after several injuries and broken bones from skateboarding and surfing, I quickly realized that I was not utilizing my body correctly.

At 18 I stumbled upon a 26 & 2 hot yoga series, I felt instant Vitality and I’ve been hooked ever since. Through Jared McCann’s unique sequencing of Meditation, Pranayama, and Yoga Asana I continue to obtain a higher plane of conscious and awareness to my body and mind. The more time and energy I devote to my practice the more I notice myself and the universe around me. My goal is to spread this form of free expression and open mindedness to as many students as I possibly can.

Coiba National Park

Coiba National Park is an UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site and a must see while you are in Panama.  Coiba is located just 37 kilometers (23 miles) from our shores, making Santa Catalina the gateway to the national park.  This ecologically rich archipelago includes over 1,687 square miles of both marine and jungle habitat. Snorkeling you can expect to see reef sharks, sea turtles, eels, puffers, parrot and many other colorful tropical fish. Humpback whales are seen in migratory route from August to November.  They both mate and give birth in this area.  It is not uncommon to see a female humpback with a newborn calf.
