We teach to your level as we want our classes to be accessible for everyone.  

Please pre-register!  We need a minimum of two participants to teach class.

Michelle Miller


My interest in alternative health therapies, nutrition, & meditation began in my teenage years.  This passion led to much self-study and many courses from organic gardening to transformational voice therapy (just to name two) and eventually to massage therapy.  Within my massage practice, I first began exploring yoga as a means to manage and relieve chronic pain and as a tool for rehabilitation from injury.  I became a serious yoga student in the year 2000 mostly practicing Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga.  I began to feel the calming and healing effects of my practice seeping into my everyday life. In 2004 I taught my first class, a “Stretch Everything Class” at the Kodiak Community College, with the focus on breath and movement to inspire a regular holistic self-maintenance program. In 2005 I continued my regular yoga practice in Santa Catalina, often practicing or guiding with friends. This eventually led to the construction of the “Bird’s Eye View” Yoga Studio and to furthering my study of yoga. In 2010 I attended a 200 hour yoga teacher training program at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara, Costa Rica. Their interdisciplinary yoga program transformed my gentle Hatha style of teaching into a more dynamic and eclectic flow.  My classes here at La Buena Vida can be described as “Slow Flow” Vinyasa.  Just as yoga aids in flexibility it also teaches us to be more flexible in our lives and depending on who turns up for class, their experience level or yoga preference, my classes tend to range from beginner to intermediate and from relaxed, to warmer/faster. I definitely like to breathe, hold fundamental postures and play with new challenges. Hopefully see you in class one day.



Eva was born in Barcelona in the summer of 78.  In 2000 she started to travel the world looking for all that she couldn't find at home: India, Bali, Mexico, Thailand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Reunion Island... have been her temporary schools.  Today she is excited to share all that she keeps in her backpack!  She facilitates eclectic Yoga classes, a blend of different styles depending on the people that arrive on the mat, never knowing what is going to happen, as life is in the here & now.  With Eva's guidance, you all create the class together!  Hatha Yoga, Pranayamas, Dance, Meditations, Partner yoga, Thai-Yoga and Nidra are mixed into this adventure that she adapts to all levels and needs. Her classes are centered on developing self-body consciousness and releasing the muscular and mental tensions, as this is her specialty from many years of experience as Thai-Yoga Massage Therapist. Eva believes that health is the capacity of adaptation and movement, and that is what she is aiming to transmit with each yoga class or Thai Yoga Massage Treatment.

Student of Yoga. Passionate about oriental philosophies such as Taoism, Buddhism, Zen and Tantra.  Began his path into Yoga in 2012 with the practice of sitting meditation, later experimenting Viniyoga, Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga and eventually Ashtanga Yoga. Completed a 200 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training program under ‘It’s Yoga International’ in early 2015 and has been practicing the method committedly ever since, complementing his studies under the guidance of experienced teachers such as Mariela Cruz, Krista Shirley, Day Christensen, Michel Guiou, Kristina Karitinou, Hamish Hendry & Barbara Süss. In 2016, he completed a month long trip to Mysore, India to practice under the guidance of Ashtanga Yoga’s current lineage holder, R. Sharath Jois.

 Thai Yoga Massage

A unique and powerful healing art that has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine for thousands of years. It is a truly wonderful experience for both giver and receiver as energy blockages are released, boundaries dissolve and deep healing occurs in a space of presence and meditation.



Also known as “lazy man's yoga”, the receiver lays down, plays dead and lets go of mental stress. Sounds easy, but trusting and fully letting go of the controlling mind can be quite a challenge! The giver reaps the benefits of moving in meditation. Together, both participants delve into mindfulness and self-awareness. We avoid working with muscle and use only gravitational forces. You will learn the basics of the “lazy therapist technique”, developing the skill to give ThaiYoga Massage without getting tired.

ThaiYoga massage is a softer version of traditional Thai massage.  It is a preventive, pain-free therapy which is both invigorating & rejuvenating.  Practiced on a cushion fully clothed, no oil is involved only Thai fisherman's pant's ;).  Also known as the “lazy man's yoga”.  All that is required of you is to lay down and relax.  Eva will do all the work that your body is craving.  Acupressure, gentle muscle pressure and stretches are involved in this full body massage.  A treat for your physical and energetic body.

Personalized deep tissue treatment integrating myofascial techniques, trigger point release with passive stretching to relax tense muscles and ease discomfort (chronic or acute).

East meets West on the massage table with this mixture of deep tissue massage and Ashiatsu (Japanese foot pressure), walking on your back with the use of bars overhead.  Specific strokes are applied to create structural change in chronic soft tissue damage and provide deep relaxation.

EvaSion - Visiting Therapist


Eva's journey into wellbeing starts in Bali in 2008 with her studies as a Spa Therapist in the Jamu School of Denpasar. After a couple of years working in Spa she deeply fell in love with ThaiYoga Massage. It is in this technique where she finds the meeting point with her main spiritual interest: Meditation, Buddhism and Yoga.  Since 2010 Eva has spent much of her time to studying in Chiang Mai, Thailand alongside of highly reputed local and international teachers.  She is fully dedicated to this healing art, giving sessions wherever she travels, assisting some of her fellow teachers and since 2014 also organizing her own retreats and workshops worldwide where she shares her passion and personal style.  To get to know more about her journey you can visit her website:

Michelle Miller- Resident Therapist

Michelle Miller was Nationally Certified in Massage and Hydrotherapy having graduating from the highly accredited Florida School of Massage in the year 2000.  There she studied Swedish massage, reflexology, deep/connective tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and Shiatsu.  Later, she furthered her training in Thai, pregnancy massage and Ashiatsu treatments (where she walks on you!).  She mixes all of the above to create a healing massage that is right for your specific needs.
